Gourmet round trip
Day 1: Venosta farmer’s shop / nature and tradition in Ulten valley
The Venosta farmer’s shop at the entrance to the steep Schnals Valley is the ideal starting point for a culinary round trip. A wide range of products from local farms are on offer to taste and buy in the farmer’s shop. Jams, vinegars, bread, cheese, apples and much more are available. From there the trip continues to the Ulten valley and it’s well known farms with their characteristic architecture, and their shingle roofs. This is the place to enjoy the peace of nature and relax far from the stress of the city.
Day 2: the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle / Merano Thermal Baths
The 2nd day begins with the floral impressions in one of the most beautiful gardens of Europe, the gardens of Trauttmansdorff castle. The way back leads through small beautiful paths to Merano thermal baths, the new and  wonderfully modern attraction in the centre of Merano that offers pure relaxation in various pools, saunas and more (you could use for example the “combiticket Merano day dreams”)

Day 3: The Maia racecourse in Merano / high quality restaurant
One day at the Maia racecourse in Merano. Make your bet and enjoy the traditional horse racing, later on in the evening we highly recommend you to visit one of the many high quality restaurants in the area. For more information about our top restaurants click on our online restaurant guide.

Day 4: Shopping tour / watercourse of Marling
On the 4th day we recommend a shopping tour or, if you like, just an extensive window shopping adventure in the heart of the health resort Merano.
After the shopping tour we recommend you to take your time and go for a walk on the shady hiking trail alongside the ancient irrigation channel of Marling.

Day 5: Tappeinerweg hiking trail / „Toerggelen“, the traditional feasts in autumn
The 5th and last day invites you to explore the mediterranean flora on the floral city hiking trail of Merano called Tappeinerweg. In the evening many wine restaurants and traditional inns await you to welcome you and indulge you with the century-old traditional „Toerggele“-feast that is held every autumn and that offers both great fun and culinary delicacies.
